Farm murder: Farmer brutally hacked to death with machete, Sheepmoor

A horrific farm murder has taken place in Sheepmoor, Mpumalanga province. A male victim aged 67 has been found murdered in a plantation on his farm Waaihoek on 12 June 2019, after being reported as missing on Monday 10 June 2019. He was allegedly hacked to death with a machete.

Moolman Meyer (67), a well known farmer from Ermelo suffered extreme injuries to his hands as he attempted to defend himself from the violent attack with a panga and was found with deep wounds all over his arms, body and head. The scene and blood splatters indicate that the attack was brutal and extremely violent.

Police are investigating. There is no other information available at this stage and there have been no arrests.
